Gimme Some Sugar card

Happy weekend!  I have a fun card to share with you today.  My friend, upline and fellow consultant Dana shared this card with us on our team page and I just Loved it and knew I had to make one.  She called it a Dutch Door card, but I think it can also be called a Barn Door card.  For this card I started with a piece of Heather cardstock, cut it to a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base size.  Then put the card base open into my paper trimmer and cut down 2 1/2" and trim that piece off to make the barn door.  You can see a better visual in the 2nd picture.  I used the Mother's Garden Stamp Set & Thin Cuts on this card.  Aren't those rain boots just too stinkin' cute?!!  For those I cut out the boots Thin Cut using White cardstock as well as the Juniper dot patterned paper then stamped them both with the boot stamp set.  I then trimmed the outer edge off of the patterned paper image and laid it on top of the white cardstock stamped boot piece so it appears to be polka dot printed boots.  The "I Appreciate You!" sentiment comes from the Mother's Garden stamp set as well.  I then hand drew the faux stitched design onto the cardstock.  Don't judge, my faux stitching is not that great!  Will have to practice on that some more!

This is the better visual I mentioned above, showing the card open.
