Typed Note - Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hello & Welcome!  Thank you for joining us on our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  I hope you enjoy the artwork I have created.  I know you will definitely find inspiration by all of the beautiful artwork you will see featured here today!  We will be featuring April's SOTM, which is called Typed Note, a set of 19 stamps.  Here is a look at all of the great stamps that are included in this set, so many uses!

If you have come here from Michelle Loncar's Blog ~ Show and Tell, with Michelleyou are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

We have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.  So grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, enjoy and be inspired!  It is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!  Now here we go!

I created a simple and I feel kind of manly Thank You card using this stamp of the month stamp set.  I'm also using the new paper packet called Jackson from the new Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book.  I just LOVE this paper packet!  I based my card on the Make It From Your Heart, Volume 2 Pattern 24.  My proportions are not the same of course because of the size of the typewriter.  Don't you just love the vintage look and feel of this old style typewriter?!!  I know I sure do!

Now "Hop" on over to Lauren Moore's blog ~ CTMH Craftings to see her beautiful work!  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!  Make sure to leave them some love also with your kinds words!

Remember, the SOTM is only available until April 30th!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Until my next post, happy crafting!

Everything ABC's Blog Hop - G

Hello and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "G".  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment, whatever the crafter has chosen as their "G" element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Lisa Plummer's blog ~ Flaunt Your Creativity then you're on the right track!

For my letter "G", I decided to use the Cricut Artbooking cartridge on the letter key.  I am once again having fun playing with the new product Blossom!  Upon flipping through the Cricut handbooks looking for what my letter G project would be, when I got to the G page in Artbooking, that was it.  The Springtime Layout "Happy Easter" using the Blossom paper packer was a perfect match. I'm giving you another sneak peek of the new Blossom papers that you can order in April.  Of course, when I see something, I have an initial idea in mind, but then when I actually start creating things change up a bit.  I created 2 layouts using the G key and Blossom papers, a Happy Easter layout and a Spring Bloom layout.  I hope you like my creations!

My plan was to duplicate the Happy Easter layout shown in the Artbooking handbook, but when I cut the overlay, it wasn't coming together as I wanted.  So I ended up using that initial overlay cut on my Spring Bloom layout shown below.  On my Easter layout I used the egg stamp that is actually the lamb in the hot air egg balloon from the Hopping By stamp set in the current Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book.  I wanted a smaller Easter egg to make the border on the left page and the 2 1/2" egg stamp in that set was larger than I wanted, so I cut eggs using Art Philosophy cartridge at 1 1/2" and mask stamped the lamb in the balloon basket off onto scrap paper.

Here are a couple of close up pictures to show the egg border & below the cute Easter bunny in his carrot mobile.

This layout is the overlay that started out to be an Easter layout, but the more I worked up my layout, I didn't like it as an Easter layout, so I pulled the Spring Bloom title from the handbook page 63 below the G key.  This layout except for the title is more of the copying the Springtime layout from the handbook.  But to be honest, I really love how it turned out!  I cut the grass border from page 52 of the Artbooking cartridge for my right page and added some of the Complements stickers also.

A close up on this layout to show the lovely new sequins that you can order starting in April.  I thought they were perfect accents for the flower border.

Finally, here is the handbook page for the letter G.

Everything ABC's Blog Hop - F

Hello and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "F".  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment, whatever the crafter has chosen as their "F" element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Darlys Recker's blog ~ Craftyhappy then you're on the right track!

For my letter "F", I decided to use the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge on the letter key.  I received some fun new products this week, and I have to be bad and give you a sneak peek of the new paper packet Blossom.  When I started making these cards I was planning on using the pear B&T paper as my main background, then I decided to try the blue one for a tone on tone design.  The stamp set I used is also part of the new paper packet Blossom's WOTG Cardmaking Kit.  You will love it!  :o)  I hope you like my cards!

For this card I used the same flower stamp but instead of using the whole design like above, I added some lovely new Coral Reef Sequins.

Here is the page from my Art Philosophy handbook showing the Decorative Layer from the F key.

When you cut this Decorative Layer straight from the cartridge at 4 1/4" it does not cut the correct size for a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card.  So below shows how I used Cricut Craft Room to size this Decorative Layer to fit the front of my card perfectly.
