Choose Happy - Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hello & Welcome!  Thank you for joining us on our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  I hope you enjoy the artwork I have created.  I know you will definitely find inspiration by all of the beautiful artwork you will see featured here today!  We will be featuring March's SOTM, which is called Choose Happy, a set of 14 stamps.  Here is a look at all of the lovely stamps that are included in this great set!

If you have come here from Stefani Ewing's Blog ~ Thoughtful Scrapbookingyou are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

We have over 50 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.  So grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, enjoy and be inspired!  It is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!  Now here we go!

I created a couple of simple cards using this stamp of the month stamp set.  The first is a Birthday card using the woodgrain style frame from the stamp set along with the Pattern 24 from the Make It from Your Heart, Volume 1 book.

Next I wanted to try making a card using only the stamps and ink, of course I had to use some cardstock too.  I used Glacier as my card base and Colonial White to do my stamping on.  I stamped with Pixie and Glacier inks.  Here is my 2nd card creation.  I hope you enjoy my simple cards.

Everything ABC's Blog Hop - E

Hello and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "E".  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment, whatever the crafter has chosen as their "E" element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Janna Gray's blog ~ The Creative Princess then you're on the right track!

For my letter "E", I decided to use the Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge on the letter key.  I also used an Embossing Folder on my creation, so double the E fun for you today! :o)

Keeping up with my personal challenge of using one of the CTMH Cricut Cartridges on the letter for this entire Blog Hop.  After the last letter D hop, I flipped through my handbooks and immediately was drawn to the Artfully Sent E page.  I honestly didn't know which item I would use on that page 2 weeks ago when I made my choice, but I'm pleased with my use of the Pocket Card ~ "Thinking of You Makes Me Happy"!

I made this layout using the Hopscotch Workshop on the Go Kit along with the Scallop Embossing Folder.  I had to throw in some sparkle with the Blue Shimmer Trim and the Junebug Puffies, aren't those just too cute!  Using the Embossing Folder for one of the photo mats on my layout was inspired by the adorable use of the embossing folders on page 36 of the Seasonal Expressions Idea Book.

Here's a closer up picture of the Pocket Card from Artfully Sent.  These are intended to be used for pocket style scrapbooking, but can really be used for any crafting project.  I think this one makes a great accent on my layout!

Finally here is the page 13, letter E from the Artfully Sent Handbook for you to see.

Everything ABC Blog Hop - D

Hello and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "D".  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment, whatever the crafter has chosen as their "D" element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy

If you came from Catherine Nowak's blog ~ Catscrapbooking then you're on the right track!

For my letter "D", I decided to use the Cricut Artbooking cartridge on the letter key.  I think making this "Together" layout using Heartstrings is quite fitting being that this Hop falls on Valentine's Day don't you?!  Last year my hubby and I had planned to enjoy a Valentine's Day lunch together because it fell on his Friday off, but I was sick and my loving hubby took me to the doctor and then that evening took our sons to basketball practice while I stayed home curled up in a blanket on the couch.  Not very romantic I know, but when you have been together 20 years it's not about the flowers and candy and cards on a specific day like it is made up to be in commercials, it is about the love you share together.  I don't know if you noticed, but I mentioned "together" 3 times in those last few sentences.  This year was again my hubby's Friday off, but he had to run into work briefly to get some things and I got some things done around the house and ran to the school to put eye drops in my son's eyes.  He is the one getting over a sickness this year!  So hubby and I met for lunch on Friday and today for Valentine's day we will be sharing the loving day exchanging cards & candy as a family and then going out to dinner.  My love is my family being together, so after I print pictures of our day, I will be adding them to this layout.  I hope you enjoy my creation!

Here is a close up to show the Together title, I backed the letters with the new White Shimmer Trim.  And a close up of the "Love these moments" Complements collage.

This is the letter D page out of the Artbooking handbook to show you the layout that I created based upon.

Confetti Wishes - Birthday layout #jrlcreativechallenge

Here is a fun Birthday layout I made using a twist on the Designer Creations Paper Bags.  I have seen these mainly used as treat bags.  I did also see an adorable mini album.  But on my page, I used one of the Honey Paper Bags as a Hidden Journaling Pocket.

Here is a closer up picture to show the use of the Designer Creations Paper Bag.  I put it in place of the photo mat and used a cute star tag cut from Art Philosophy attached to the back of the journaling card to pull out the journaling.  Then place the photo mat right on top of the Honey Paper Bag.
