A Happy Hello - Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Hello & Welcome!!  Thank you for joining us on our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  I hope you enjoy the artwork I created.  I know you will definitely find inspiration by all of the beautiful artwork you will see featured here today!  We will be featuring February's SOTM, which is called A Happy Hello, a set of 15 stamps.  Here is a look at all of the lovely stamps that are included in this great set!

If you have come here from Paige's Blog ~ Stampologistyou are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

We have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.  So grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, enjoy and be inspired!  It is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!  Now here we go!

I created this card using Hopscotch papers and was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches sketch #171.  I stamped the largest flower using the half circle and stamping it twice to make the complete circle.  It is stamped in Glacier ink and then edged with Indian Corn Blue using a finger dauber.  The next layer was stamped using Smoothie.  The next layer using Indian Corn Blue and the final top layer using Sunset ink. And then came the fussy cutting.  I remember at one time thinking, those ladies must be nuts to cut things out like that.  Well, I guess that makes me nuts now too!  I actually enjoy doing it.  Finally, I added an Aqua Dot to the center.  And of course the "hello!" sentiment at the bottom stamped with Sunset ink.  I didn't want it to say "A happy hello!" so I just used the "hello!" by masking it.

Here is the sketch my card is based upon.  Yep, I pretty much copied it exact and that works for me!

Everything's ABC Blog Hop - C

Hello and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "C".  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment, whatever the crafter has chosen as their "C" element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy

If you came from Marie Goetz's blog ~ Marie's Paper Crafting and Such then you're on the right track!

For my letter "C", I decided to use the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge on the letter key.  I searched all 4 cartridges and nothing was sparking any creativity in me, and I kept coming back to this one.  I think having 2 sons that both have names that start with C kept taking me back to it.  I wanted to make something about them ~ Colton & Caleb, my boys, my joy!

Here is the Art Philosophy handbook for the letter C key on page 53.

And here is my creation using the 5"x7" Hinged Display Tray and the Hopscotch Picture My Life Scrapbooking Pocket Cards (did you notice that "C" also ;o)  I have had this Hinged Display Tray for quite a while just waiting to be used.  I love when inspiration hits and I get to make something using that certain product that has been waiting to be used, and it becomes a creation that is so special to me and I just Love!!

Here is a close up showing the "C" that I just love on this cartridge.  It is the Font Layer with the holes.  You can leave them blank to show a color through like I did or you could place some sparkles, bling or even a brad through them.  I first cut the regular Font "C" using Sunset cardstock and then I cut the Font Layer "C" using Indian Corn Blue cardstock.

Snowhaven - Winter Wishes card #‎jrlcreativechallenge‬

It is Winter in Montana, such a beautiful time of the year with snow on the mountains and pine trees.  I have a wonderful view of the Beartooth Mountains from my home and just about any drive I take.  We only have a couple of small pine trees, but I just love seeing snow this time of the year.  And no I do not live in a cabin in the middle of pine trees like reflected on my card, but snow in Winter makes me think of being cozy and warm by a fire in my home with the beautiful snow outside.

I created this card for Jeanette's Weekly Creative Challenge which was to create a card to reflect the weather.  It is made using Snowhaven papers with the Christmas Post & To You and Yours stamp sets.  I stamped the tree and cabin scene stamp with Whisper Pigment Ink and the Winter Wishes sentiment with Black Pigment Ink.  I sprinkled them both with the Clear Embossing Powder and then heat set them.  I cut a snowflake strip off of the striped sweater paper to place at the bottom of the card and a strip of Teal Shimmer Trim.  I hope you enjoy my card & are having a beautiful Winter!

Heartstrings - I love you card

I'm excited to be joining in on this challenge!  I receive the emails from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog, but I have not ever participated in their sketch challenge.  But with my personal challenge I have for myself this year, I knew I wanted to take the leap and join in.  I just can't seem to get enough of this Heartstrings paper packet, and when I saw this sketch I knew just what I wanted to create.  The card I made is a 5"x7" card using Heartstrings paper, Complements and the retired Dotted Love mini stamp.

Here is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge - Sketch #91 that my card is based on.   Click the blue link to go to the blog to get your entry in the challenge as well.
