Family is Forever - Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  I hope you enjoy the artwork I created.  I know you will definitely find inspiration by all of the beautiful artwork you will see featured here today!  We will be featuring September's SOTM, which is Family is Forever, a set of 7 stamps.  Here is a look at all of the stamps that are included in this great set!

If you have come here from Carol-Anne's Blogyou are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

Wow, we have 80 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.  So grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, enjoy and be inspired!  It is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!  Now here we go!

As I mentioned in last month's SOTM post, I have a monthly team challenge from my upline to use a certain paper packet for each month, which means using that paper packet with the Stamp of the Month.  Who doesn't love a challenge?!!  This month's paper packet is Scaredy Cat which works wonderfully for anything Halloween related, so how was I going to make this lovely Family themed stamp set work with Halloween paper?   As the title on my layout shows "No bones about it, we LOVE Halloween".  This picture was taken of AARRGG family on Halloween night 3 years ago, but I thought it worked perfectly with page.  My layout is based on the Reflections sketch called Front & Center - Focal.

Here is a close up to show some of the accents I did to the tree.  As you can see in the picture above of what the tree stamp looks like, there are hearts on the tree.  I stamped the cute little bat from the Frightfully Fun stamp set and cut him out to cover the largest heart.  Next I took a small star sticker from the Complements to cover the heart above the cute little bat.  I cut out the jack-o-lanterns & the 2 bats from one of the B&T papers in the paper packet.  That sheet has so many options to use, it is wonderful!

Yuletide Carol - Christmas layout

As promised earlier this week, here is my Christmas layout using Yuletide Carol papers, Complements and coordinating Assortments.  I just love how this layout came together!  On the left page all I did was add the photo mat and a Complements sticker.  The B&T paper is just beautiful, I had to keep that side a simple as possible to show off the paper.  Since I started with that page, I then went to our Reflections How-To Book to find a right page sketch to go with it.  I hope you like this layout!

Yuletide Carol - Make It Merry card

In sharing my artwork I created for my New Product Display Boards, today we are moving on to the next paper packet featured in the New Annual Inspirations Idea Book - Yuletide Carol.  This is a card I made using Yuletide Carol papers along with the Artbooking Cricut cartridge for the ornament overlay.   I am pleased with how it turned out.  This paper packet is so lovely!  Check back soon for the layout I created!

Mojo Monday #359 - Chalk It Up & PML Cards

It has been unseasonably cold & rainy here for the past 2 days, our high yesterday was only 59 degrees & we didn't see the sunshine all day.  As much as I love Fall weather, even I wish it was warmer & a little dryer.  But with cool rainy weather, what else is there to do?  Get crafty of course!

I have seen the Close to my Heart Picture My Life cards used in other ways besides the standard pocket pages, so I wanted to try it out.  I created the two following cards using Chalk It Up papers and the Chalk It Up Picture My Life line.  These papers have a School theme and it was only fitting for me to make cards for my sons that are going back to school tomorrow morning.

Here is the Mojo Monday sketch I based my cards on.

And these are the two cards I made based on the above sketch.  The first card sticks pretty closely to the sketch.  The 2nd card started out based on the sketch & I made a few adjustments for it to work for me.

Pathfinding - So Grateful card

This is a card I made using Pathfinding papers along with our new Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  The stamp set I used is only available to order at an extreme discount when you host a gathering, called Thanksgiving Wreath.  I think this stamp set is so lovely and coordinates so well with our Pathfinding papers.  The funny thing is when I was creating this card, I picked out the sketch pattern #24 from the Make It From Your Heart, Volume 1 How-To Book and made the card.  Then as I am looking through the Idea Book afterwards I see that the Corporate Art Department used the same sketch to feature this stamp set in the book!  How does that old saying go... Great minds think alike ;o)
