What A Hoot - Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  I took the month of July off, but am once again very excited to be participating in this Blog Hop!  I hope you enjoy the artwork I created.  I know you will definitely find inspiration by all of the beautiful artwork you will see featured here today!  We will be featuring August's SOTM, which is What A Hoot, a set of 17 stamps.  Here is a look at all of the fun stamps that are included in this great set!

If you have come here from Brae Montgomery's Blogyou are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

Wow, we have 67 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.  So grab a cup of your favorite beverage, sit back, enjoy and be inspired!  It is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!  Here we go!

I love a challenge, don't you?  I write that because part of my upline team gave us a challenge to use a certain paper packet and for August it is Chalk It Up.  To see that paper packet you think of school and for this particular stamp of the month, you would probably think of using Scaredy Cat because it is more of a Halloween themed paper.  But I decided to take the challenge and I think the stars paper with Sorbet cardstock worked out perfectly for this "Happy 'Owl'oween" card.  Isn't this owl just too cute!  I colored him, the jack-o-lantern & the lines in 'owl'oween with our new ShinHan Touch Twin Markers.   And how about that adorable enamel star, isn't that a cute new item!

Now "Hop" on over to Lauren Moore's blog to see her work!  Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!  Make sure to leave them some love also with your kinds words!

Remember, the SOTM is only available until August 31st!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Until my next post, happy crafting!

More Convention Cards - New Product Sneak Peek!!

Here are a few more of the cards I made at Convention using the new paper packet called Confetti Wishes & our new Shinhan Touch Twin Markers!

So before I show you these cards, please keep in mind I'm new to the whole alcohol marker coloring thing.  And when I did most of these at Convention, I had my contact lenses in.  For those of my readers over 40, you know what I mean by that ;o)  I need my contacts out, my glasses on and peaking underneath to see some of that fine detail.  And yes, I have bifocals, aahhh!!

I hope you enjoy these cards and look forward to seeing more New products from the Annual Inspirations Idea Book!  If you would like a copy of your own, contact me!

5"x7" Hello Sunshine Sentiment Card

Close up of the top of card again with the Gold Sequins, I just cut some small pieces of the new Gold Shimmer Trim to bling up the middle of the sequins.

Close up of the bottom of the sentiment to show off the new Gold Shimmer Trim!  How pretty is that!

Convention 2014 Highlights Video

It has been quite busy since getting home from Convention.  From my 3 monthly classes being held, the first one the Monday night after we returned home, then my oldest son's birthday & the following Monday & Tuesday nights were my other 2 monthly classes and then on Wednesday, my in-laws came for a visit & that weekend my oldest son with my hubby as his coach in soccer, they participated in the Big Sky State Games on the hottest weekend so far this Summer. Whew, I haven't even had time to get crafty with the new products like I would like to, but that time is here, YEA!!

I did see that Corporate posted the Convention Highlights video and I wanted to share it with you.  It is so fun reliving the amazing time I had!  You will see me a few times in the video.  First during General Sessions, the camera person snuck up behind me as I was snapping a picture of my friends and right after that you see us seated and cheering.  A little later you will see us again getting crafty during the Creative Sessions.   I love this time with my CTMH Family!  And look forward to the following year spending this time with them again!  You could join us next year too!

Enjoy the video!

Skylark Pop Up Card

I had a Hostess of one of my rotation groups request that I teach them how to make a pop up card I received in a Consultant Swap.  This was a fun pop up card to make using Skylark papers.  I hope you like it also!   For cutting instructions on how to make the inside of the card you can find them HERE

Thanks card using SOTM

I shared my class layout with you yesterday.  And since being gone to Convention and an extended stay family vacation in Disneyland, I didn't get anything made using the adorable Circus Alphabet July Stamp of the Month.  So I made this extremely simple card at 5pm for my class that started at 6:30pm.  You can kind of tell I was a little rushed, but I wanted to have something to show my customers.  Quite a few of them couldn't pass up on grabbing this super cute set!

Skylark Spring Layout

Last night I held my monthly hostess rotation scrapbooking class and we made a Spring themed layout using Skylark papers.  I received my initial inspiration from a fellow Consultant whose name I cannot list because although I have her picture saved in my Inspiration folder, I do not have her name, so sorry.  The layout is based on Magic - Abracadabra.  I have been making the basic layout for class and also making up the same layout using the coordinating Complements and no stamping.  Quite a few of the ladies really loved the look of the layout with the Complements this time!  Some of them especially liked the wording found on the Complements.  I have to agree, I love the wording also!
