Kaboom - Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  I am excited to be participating in this Blog Hop!  I hope you enjoy the artwork I created.  I know you will be inspired by all of the beautiful artwork you will see featured here today!  We will be featuring June's SOTM, which is Kaboom, a set of 16 stamps.  Here is a look at all of the wonderful stamps that are included in this great set!  I just love celebrating the 4th of July, Independence Day & this stamp set is perfect for that and many other fun celebrations!

If you have come here from Terry Ann Diack's Blog you are on the right path!  The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

This month we have 51 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs.  This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one!  Here we go!

I mentioned above that I love celebrating the 4th of July, so I had fun creating this layout using mainly the Kaboom stamp set.  I random stamped the fireworks on Colonial White cardstock to create the background paper.  I used the Artbooking cartridge to cut out the title, overlay and photo mats.  I did also add in a small 2" strip of Jubilee B&T paper.  It is a simple layout but I like the way it turned out and it is only June & I have a 4th of July layout ready to just add pictures, how fun is that!

Everything's ABC Blog Hop - Letter K

Hello and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "K".  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment, whatever the crafter has chosen as their "K" element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy

If you came from Renee's Blog - Creative Queens then you're on the right track!

For my K, I chose Kraft 3-Ring Album.  The official name is My Creations Kraft 3-Ring Album.  The description on my website states perfect for displaying 8x8 scrapbook pages.  But I had seen this done by a fellow Consultant a while back and thought I should really do this with my Kraft Album as well, but had not taken the time to put it together.  Since I was initially kind of stumped on what to do for my Letter K for this blog hop, I was excited to remember that I wanted to create this Kraft Album for storing my embossing folders.  It really came together pretty quickly and I don't know why I put it off.

I used the Skylark Paper Packet to decorate the outside of the Kraft Album.   I did use the Art Philosophy cartridge for the title spot, and I used Artbooking for the Embossing Folders lettering.

For the inside I made simple pocket pages using Kraft cardstock.  I cut the cardstock at 8" x 12" and then scored the longer 12" side at 4" and folded it over and applied adhesive on the edges to make the pocket.  I then ran a piece of Lagoon cardstock through my Cuttlebug machine using each of our embossing folders to attach to the front of the pocket.

I did not feel like just having the sample of the embossing folder attached to the pocket was enough, so I flipped through my Art Philosophy book looking for something that I could use to make tabs for each pocket page and look what I found.  The Tab Card featured 48 of the handbook was perfect to use as page tabs.  I cut them at 2" folded them over on the score mark and then wrote the names of the embossing folder on each one.  I then attached them to the pages with adhesive, which will make it easier for turning the pocket pages in my new embossing folder storage album.

Everything's ABC Blog Hop - Letter J

Hello and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "J".  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment, whatever the crafter has chosen as their "J" element will be featured in their post.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Linda's blog ~ Scrappy Therapy

If you came from Lisa's Blog - Flaunt Your Creativity then you're on the right track!

For my J, I chose Jewelry.  Okay so our "jewelry" line is officially called Base & Bling, but it is wearable craft aka Jewelry ;o)    I had fun putting this Base & Bling necklace together, and it went together so quickly!!  I started making it at about 5pm on the night of my Open House that started at 6pm!  The part that took the longest was cleaning the edges after putting just a little too much Liquid Glass under the glass cover and it smooshing out around the edges.  Here is my completed and don't you have to say adorable crafty necklace!
This just shows the circle pendant a little closer up for you.
And a closer up shot of the square pendant for you.  Aren't the camera & scissor charms just too cute!!

Part of what I love about our Base & Bling products is that when you purchase the pendants, you receive 3 in the package for only $4.95.  As well as the Glass Covers, those come 3 in a package for only $1.95.  And the Base & Bling Sheets have 32 different sticker images/designs to pick from for only $3.95.  You can make up quite a few charms using those or you could use them for accents on a card or scrapbook page.

Everything's ABC Blog Hop - Letter I

Hello and welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter "I".  This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment, whatever the crafter has chosen as their "I" element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Jenny's Blog - Jen's Creative Classroom then you're on the right track!

For my I, I chose to be Inventive with Initials & Ink, go with me on this okay!  It is that time of the year with end of school activities and soccer season has started, so things have gotten crazy busy around our home.  That's why I said go with me on this ;o)

I am on the PTA board for our elementary schools and we have just celebrated "Staff Appreciation Week" for our 3 schools, so it has been a busy week!  I like to make our family's Staff Appreciation gifts for our son's teachers.  I made these cards for our son's teachers last year also and they really seemed to like them.  Last year I only had to make 2 sets of cards.  Well this year things have changed and our boys have "Walk to Read", so not just one teacher but 2 teachers each.  Then it dawned on me that because we have grade leveling in our schools, this will be the last year our youngest son will be at West Elementary.  So I decided to add the other teachers and staff to my card making.  What started out as 4 sets of cards turned into 9 sets!  I wanted to include the Music teacher, PE teacher, Librarian, School Secretary and School Principal.  I had the feeling that I had forgotten someone and yep sure enough, I will be making up one more quick set soon!  Here are pictures of the cards I made for them.  I hope you enjoy seeing them also!

This was my craft table during work in progress of 72 cards.

The first set - Initial P is done, yahoo!

With the help of my Art Philosophy Cartidge, I made these tags to attach to the card sets.

Here are a couple more of the sets.

And some close up pictures.

This is all 9 sets of cards completed, bundled up with Tulle Ribbon & a Thank You tag.
