H2H & FMS #77 Challenges

So I made this card with two different challenges in mind.  The first one being the Heart 2 Heart March Madness Spring Challenge and then I saw the Sketch #77 for Freshly Made Sketches and knew that was the sketch I was going to use to make this card.   For the H2H Spring Challenge I think of Easter, probably because of Easter falling at the end of March this year, which to me is early and will be here in a just a couple of weeks, wow can that really be?  So here is my card.

Supplies used all CTMH unless noted.
Chantilly paper pack
Chantilly Assortment
Easter Wishes & True Happiness (retired) stamp set
 Chocolate mini pigment ink pad
 Clear Detail Embossing Powder
 Buttercup & Twilight Markers
 Orange Watercolor Pencil
Cotton Candy & Pear Inks
Ruby, Cotton Candy, Buttercup & White Daisy cardstock.

This is the Freshly Made Sketch #77 my card is based on.

Until my next post, happy Monday & happy crafting!

H2H Challenge - Go Green #2

I finished my St. Patrick's Day treats for my boys.  I had mentioned in my last H2H Challenge - Go Green post that I was planning on making something green for my two sons next and I've just finished them, right on time!

Have you ever made anything with green candies as a treat?  I haven't before so my first thought is green M&M's.  Yeah, that wasn't as easy as I initially thought.  Not that it was terribly hard, I went to our candy drawer (yes, we have a candy drawer in the kitchen, bad I know!) and got out the packages of M&M's that we had in there & started opening them and sorting out the green ones.      One or two, sometimes none, sometimes it was jackpot & there were five or six.  But I was beginning to think I wouldn't have enough to fill 2 treat tubes, so I broke into the Peanut M&M's also.  Those are usually just mine, but my thought process was, the Peanut M&M's will take up more space so use them!  Then I sorted through what was left in the bowl & the unopened package of the Valentine M&M's for the white ones.  I bought a few too many packages of those M&M's for the 51 treat tubes I made for both of my sons Valentine class parties (forgot to get pics of those though).  Now don't worry, all of this sorting through M&M's, I did wash my hands & these are just for my sons, so no passing of germs, I just tested a few ;o)

Anyway, here are the containers of the sorted M&M's for my treat tubes.

And here are the completed treat tubes for my boys for tomorrow!  I hope they like them!

Supplies used - All CTMH unless noted
Chantilly paper pack, Year Round Cheer (Retired Dec SOTM) stamp set, Topiary & White Daisy Cardstock, Topiary & Sweet Leaf Inks & My Creations Treat Tubes.

Until my next post, happy crafting & Happy St. Patrick's Day!

H2H Challenge - Go Green

This is a card I created for the H2H - Heart 2 Heart Challenge.  The challenge for the week is "Go Green".  That can be green for St. Patrick's Day or green as in re-purposing, recycling or reusing something.  I, of course, thought of St. Patrick's Day since it is only 4 days away.  But I also thought of a retired CTMH stamp set called So Lucky that has hearts that can be made into a four leaf clover.  And I like the "So lucky to have you" quote in this stamp set.  So I made this sweet & simple card for my wonderful hubby, that I am indeed so lucky to have!  I'm planning on making something green for my two sons next.

I love using our newest Cricut cartridge, Artiste whenever I can.  So even though the stamp set So Lucky is retired and was out prior to the wonderful world of coordinating shapes on stamps with the Artiste & Art Philosophy cartridges, I was able to use Artiste to cut the heart shapes for the clover leaves.  And though you may not be able to see it all that well, I also used the green paper of Chantilly to cut out the hearts for the clover leaves.  Anyway, here is my card I hope you like it!

Supplies used - All CTMH unless noted.
Chantilly paper, Artiste cartridge, Stamp Sets - So Lucky & True Happiness (both retired, but favorites of mine), Dimensional Elements - Mixed Shapes, Color Ready Seam Binding Ribbon, Epoxy Bubbles - Green, Sky cardstock, Sweet Leaf & Topiary Inks

Until next post, happy crafting!
