Artbooking - Love layout

I just realized I have not shared my first Artbooking layout with you.  Artbooking is scrapbooking made easy with this cartridge!  Everything cuts from one key & at one size, it doesn't get much easier than that!  This layout is from the handbook on page 61 and is called Together layout.  It was so stinkin' easy to cut and put together in just an afternoon and you will notice it is only made using cardstock (and a couple of the new Aqua Dots), but still very pretty!  I'm off to create a Fall Harvest one next using cardstock & the new Huntington papers.  So check back soon to see it!

Freshly Made Sketches #98 - Frosted card

I created this card for the Freshly Made Sketches #98 sketch by Jen Mitchell.   I knew when I saw this sketch earlier in the week that I wanted to use the Classy Doily stamp set to make this card, but I didn't get a chance to get crafty until today.  I know it is still Summer and probably warm where ever your are, but I just think this stamp set and the Frosted paper pack is so pretty!  I hope you like it also!

Products used all Close to my Heart.
Retired Crystal Blue buttons & Colonial White Waxy Flax

And this is the sketch my card is based on below.

Until my next post, happy crafting!

I wanted to share my latest New Product creation with you!  I started putting this together yesterday afternoon and then held my monthly scrap class last night and didn't get to finish it.  So I just finished the final touches on it today.  Guess what I am currently wearing & will be wearing very frequently!!  Yes, my Base & Bling Necklace Kit!

And like I usually show you in one of my Kit posts, here are the items I have leftover after creating my lovely necklace!  Lots of textile fabric (this is one of my blue favorites!) and some pretty bling!

August Stamp of the Month - A Chocolate Affair

A Chocolate Affair, doesn't that just sound yummy!!

The August Stamp of the Month is called A Chocolate Affair.  Here is my artwork that I created using this yummy and calorie free set!  We won't talk about the chocolates that I munched on while making these cards ;o)   You can get this very stamp set for free!!  Keep reading down to the bottom to see how to get yours for free!

So I kind of copied the Close to my Heart Corporate Art Department's insert idea by using the New Designed Decor Frame to show off my Chocolate cards for you.  The "I love Chocolate" title if you will was created using the new Artbooking cartridge.  The "I love" is a cut on the cartridge and the letters for chocolate are the gorgeous new font on Artbooking.  I just love this font!
Isn't it so fun!  Now for a closer look at my cards below.

Here is my "Death by Chocolate" card!  I think the cake looks yummy enough to eat!  I used Chantillypapers, ChocolateChampagne & White Daisy cardstock, Dark Chocolate Striped Grosgrain Ribbon  I stamped the cake with Chocolate ink & then accented the layers and top with Glitz Bronze Glitter Gel.  The scalloped rectangle the cake is stamped on was cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge.

"I have never met a chocolate that I don't like".  That has so much truth for me!  Just ask my hubby, he will confirm that statement for you! ;o)  This simple little 4x4 card was made using only cardstock - White DaisyChocolate & Blush.  Oh and I cannot forget to mention the scallopy circle was cut using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I did also use Liquid Applique for accenting on the candy.

"Chocolate is good for you".  Well the strawberries are good for you, but don't these strawberries look very tasty?!!  This little 3x3 card was made using Chantilly papers, ChocolateBlush & White Daisycardstock and accented with the Brown Glitter Paper.

"Who needs milk?"  and "Brownie Points" cards.   Both of these 3x3 cards were made using Chantilly papers, ChocolateBlush & White Daisy cardstock and accented with the Brown Glitter Paper.  The scalloped circle on the Who needs milk card was made cut with the Art Philosophy cartridge.

"Chocolate tastes as good as skinny feels".   This card is based on the Folded Focus sketch in the Wishes Card Confidence book.  On this card I used the New Huntington papers, Champagne & Chocolate cardstock and Mocha Opaques.

Would you like to create your very own Chocolaty cards?  You can order the stamp set or if you place an order of $50 you will get this stamp of the month for FREE!!

Until my next post, happy crafting!

New Product Blog Hop - Designed Decor Frame Kit

It's time for more New Autumn/Winter 2013 Products!!
(If you are hopping along with the New Product Blog Hop, you can return to it HERE)

This is the New Designed Decor Frame Kit. And now a lovely home decor item displayed in my home of me and my guys!  As you can see I love my guys so much!

The kit was so very easy to put together, I just picked out the pictures I wanted to use and a font stamp set for a title, everything else was included.  The kit comes with the Designed Decor Colonial White Frame, the B-size stamp set, the Kraft Paper Die-Cut Shapes, Mini Wooden Clothespins & Baker's Twine Hemp.  I pulled out a few of my favorite stamp sets to stamp the title and a couple sentiments.  The stamp sets I used were Wheel of Life, Words of Comfort, Urban Alphabet, (retired) Hodgepodge Alphabet & Take Note (exclusive Artbooking Collection stamp set).

This picture shows what I still have left to redecorate my frame later if I decide I want to change something out.

And this picture is the adorable stamp set that can be used over and over!

Until my next post, happy crafting!

New Product Blog Hop using ProPlayer

Today is August 1st, a new month, a new beginning and that also means a New Autumn/Winter 2013 Idea Book & Catalog!!

I am participating in a New Product Blog Hop with my fellow Close to my Heart Consultants and am excited to share a double page layout and some cards I created using the new paper pack ProPlayer!

I started out working with the new ProPlayer Workshop on the Go Kit.  On the WOTG Kit layout, I didn't completely follow the instuctions, I changed a few things up and decided to go with more of a gaming theme for mine.  I know just the pictures I will be putting on here of my hubby and sons playing old video games!  My mom and stepdad came up for a visit last month and mom brought my old (circa 1981) Atari 2600 system and games to us.  It was so fun watching our boys play these dated and simple graphic games!!

Supplies used all CTMH - ProPlayer WOTG Kit
Spray Pen with Ruby & Whisper inks

Next I made a Happy Birthday Spin Card.  As you can see the circle on the front of the card can spin around to reveal both sides.  The "happy birthday" side and in the next picture the "present" side.  These new cards are such fun!

This shows the inside of the card decorated using ProPlayer papers.
Supplies used all CTMH - White Daisy Circle Spin Card
M-size stamp sets - Heartfelt Birthday Wish and A Little Gift
Ruby and Pacifica Cardstock

This card is made using ProPlayer papers, the new Maximum Power stamp set, if you know me then you know I'm a Mustang girl!  There is also a Monster Truck & an old Chevelle in this stamp set, a very masculine set.  The sketch is also from the new Make It From Your Heart, Volume 2 book.  And you will notice the new Ruby Chevron Ribbon used on this card also, I am loving this ribbon!

This fun little 3" x 3" sparkly snowflake card was made using ProPlayer paper and the new M-size Single Snowflake stamp set stamped with Mini Pacifica Pigment Ink.

This picture shows the sparkle I created on the snowflake a little better.  I used the mini pigment ink pad to stamp it initially, then covered it with a combination of Clear Detail Embossing Powder & Prisma Glitter and then heat set it with the Craft Heater.  I like how it turned out.

So that is my ProPlayer creations so far, I hope you enjoy seeing what I created!  Check out other beautiful artwork created by my fellow Consultant sisters below and come back to my blog for more new artwork in the coming days!
